Telateks A.S. was founded in 1940 by Mr. Emin Ustunel, a pioneer in the manufacture of haircloth interlining. What started as a small textile business more than 70 years ago has evolved into an internationally recognized textile company with clients in more than 20 countries. Telateks serves the needs of many different industries that require textile products. While interlinings for garments account for a major part of our business, our company is also rapidly growing in other textile sectors like technical textiles. Through our Metyx Composites divison, we deliver high-performance composite materials to many industries including wind energy industry, marine, automotive and transportation, to name just a few.

Seventy years of textile expertise has made us a leading supplier of high-end textile fabrics engineered with the latest technological advances in the industry. Start of the first interlining production in Turkey by Emin Ustunel.

Pioneering investment in the first adhesive coated interlining in Turkey and among the few in Europe by Erol Ustunel (of the second generation of Ustunels in the industry).

Erol Ustunel founds his own company, Telateks A.S., headquartered in Tuzla-Istanbul, Turkey.

Development of full range of interlinings and investment in a fully integrated textile infrastructure, including knitting, weaving, dyeing, chemical treatment, and new coating lines.

Investment in the first multiaxial line and the formation of a new business unit, METYX Composites, to serve the composite industry.

Opening of the new plant dedicated to technical textiles for composites by Erol Ustunel and his sons, Ugur and Tunc Ustunel, marking a third generation of Ustunels in the industry.

ISO 9001:2008 certification and DNV & Lloyds Register Marine Type Approval Certifications for METYX Composites products.

Launch of distribution business unit to provide a complete portfolio of composites-related products and total solutions for composites producers.
